Being cold, shoes, cleaning the stovetop, formalities, having to pay the same price for food to have the meat removed, the wait between bands at concerts.

During a group ride through a cemetery, a squirrel ran between my wheels, under the floorboards. What are the odds that I, an animal lover, didn’t kill a squirrel in a cemetery?
Many years ago, I was leading a couple of us back home from the mountain ride at Mile High Mayhem. I started off down a deserted highway at full speed, not realizing I was going the wrong direction. The people following me couldn’t catch up to tell me I was going the wrong way so we went miles out of our way before I realized they were trying to signal me! We still laugh about it during porch sits.
